Gimme Skelter 2007

Gimme Skelter is the story of a guy who thinks he's the son of Charles Manson. To get Manson's approval and attention he gathers some followers to kill as many people as they can in one night in a small New Mexico town. The story centers around not only this group  but many of the citizens delving into their personal relationships and private affairs.  Mark Chavez, Billy Garberina, Gunnar Hansen and Elske Mccain all do a decent job in the film. Hansen is the original Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and plays the town big businessman.
I bought this movie two years ago at a Fangoria Convention. Elske Mcclain, who plays the woman with the only Internet service in town and town prostitute talked to me for awhile about the film and told me it was over the top and I'd like it. She was right on both claims.  During the groups attempt to kill as many people as they can they run into a few people who make them work real hard to not only accomplish their mission, but stay alive themselves.
This movie has over the top violence, a good amount of nudity and plenty of gore. It also has some clever dialogue, a few memorable characters and a fair amount of humor. I give the movie a "B" and having seen the next film Chavez and Gaberina starred in, Necroville, I think we can expect better things to come from both.
